Getting to know the most popular French festivals

At the end of July, the international Lollapalooza festival is held in Paris at the Longchamp racetrack. In different years, the headliners were famous indie, hip-hop and rock musicians.

And another music festival that deserves special attention is Villette Sonique, held at the end of May and lasting for 5 days. Here you can mainly hear underground – indie, noise, industrial. The action itself takes place open-air in the largest park in Paris – La Villette. And, therefore, in addition to the fact that you can enjoy music for free, impeccable nature and a stunning embankment on the banks of the Seine await everyone.

In mid-May, tourists (and residents of the capital of France, of course) have a unique opportunity to “taste Paris” – the “Taste of Paris” festival opens the gastronomic season. Traditionally, the festival takes place on the nave (inner part) of the Grand Palais. The festival has long since become international, and those gourmets who regularly attend the festival can be considered almost family to each other. The beginning of October in Paris is traditionally marked by Vendages de Montmartre (harvest festival). You can taste food and wine, as well as feel the pleasant touch of music to your soul (because during the festival, music is heard from everywhere) near the Sacré-Coeur church.
