Classification of brick and its features
Brick is divided into two types – ceramic and silicate. The similarity of these two types of bricks can only be indicated in size, since the methods of their production are completely different. Ceramic brick forms of clay with various additives, and it is subjected to a special firing. But “not clay”, that is, silicate brick – this is by definition and not brick at all, but simply hard material, simply similar in shape to brick.
Determining the word brick is a bar of burned clay. The characteristics of these two building materials are regulated by various GOSTs, and the builders themselves clearly define both the difference and the border between them.
