Choosing and laying wooden floorboards

Wooden floors laying technology: rules and requirements

In most cases, pine boards are used for wooden floors. Usually, material with a width of 16 centimeters is purchased, and a thickness of not more than 5 centimeters. If there is such an opportunity, then the boards should be bought by those that have not yet been used.  After acquiring the boards, installation should begin to start after they dry out well in a heated room.

If you decide to lay a wooden floor in the summer, then the boards should lie for at least two weeks during hot weather. The thing is that poorly dried boards, after installation, may dry out, as a result of which various gaps and cracks are formed.  First you need to fix the square wooden beads at the same distance. Then on such lags you need to lay prepared boards. It should be borne in mind that the gap between them should be less than one millimeter.
