Parquet flooring – ancient quality material
Parquet floor coverings decorate houses from the 13th century. Initially, sowing the luxury served the French great blessies decorating their homes unprecedented at that time with beauty. Gradually, the parquet coating spread to all continents, changing and rooting in the cultures of many peoples.
In tsarist Russia, the parquet was recognized in the XVII, and at the beginning of the 19th century, parquet began to be produced on an industrial basis. The city of Okhta has become a stronghold for the development and use of parquet coatings. Okhtyn masters were involved in construction work on floor laying in the winter and Catherine palaces. The rapid development of the types of parquet and the types of styling in the 19th and 20th centuries made it an example of Russian classics.
