Independent laying of natural tiles

What needs to be taken into account when laying tiles

In order for the load on the walls of the building from the roof to be uniform, it is advisable to lay the tiles simultaneously on both slopes. 3-4 months after laying, transverse seams are recommended to be smeared from the attic side with a lime solution with the addition of fibrous materials in it, and painted with oil paint on top.

When performing roofing work using ceramic (clay) tiles, so as not to damage the already laid roof, use bridges in the form of flooring from boards. In the future, these bridges can also serve during the operation of the roof: for example, to repair the roof and ensure access to the chimney or auditory window. Arrange bridges from reaching the roof to the chimney and along the skate and cornices. The bridge is installed on the finished part of the roof: for this, the tiles are removed in the places of its fastening, after which the bridge to the crate is cranked, the tiles are nailed in place, and the holes are sealed with cement mortar.
