France has a number of advantages for foreign companies and investors. Its economic attractiveness is growing, attracting more and more foreign investors.
According to the annual rating of the consulting company A.T. Kearney, in 2018 France entered the top five most attractive countries for large international investors. At the same time, the French economy is very different from the usual stereotypes.
Behind Beijing and Tokyo and ahead of London and New York, Paris ranks third among cities that host the largest number of head offices of companies included in the top 500 companies in the world (27 head offices). Home to €4,000 billion in assets (more than 1.5 times France’s GDP), Paris is a global financial hub and the European leader in venture capital, with €3.6 billion in funds raised in 2018. The city also leads the EU’s capital investment market (€12.4 billion in investments in 1,400 companies in 2016). Four French banks are among the world’s top 20 banks.
